Community Outreach
Community Outreach takes the form of weekly outreach and specially planned annual events. Community Outreach is every Sunday afternoon at 4:30 and is one of our most important weekly church activities. God has truly blessed this time of walking door to door throughout our Valley Ranch community and introducing ourselves to our neighbors. On these personal visits to our neighbors, we simply ask if there is anything we can pray for them or for their families. We then return to the church for our BATTLEGROUND PRAYER SERVICE and lift up these specific request in prayer. Please join us beginning in September as we return to our weekly outreach program on Sunday afternoons at 4:30pm.
MBBC leads or sponsors several community wide events each year. We welcome you to any or all of these events. We want MBBC to be a place you can call home, Keep an eye on our UPCOMING EVENTS page as it is constantly updated including our community wide events.
Valley Ranch Community Christmas
The entire month of December is set aside for our Valley Ranch Community Christmas project. In 2007 the entire Valley Ranch community came together to:
• provided Christmas for 72 families
• Delivered over 1,000 gifts
• Gave a truck load of food to both Irving Cares, Inc. and Baptist Benevolence Ministries of Irving
• Collected $1794.42 in loose change for a the Real Choices Pregnancy Resource Center in North Irving
In addition to our own church membership, much of our Valley Ranch community comes together to give of themselves during this month long celebration.
If you would like to take part in Valley Ranch Community Christmas in 2008, contact our church office at 972.373.9833.
Annual Spring/Fall Festivals
Each year, MBBC puts on a Spring Festival and Fall Festival geared towards children of all ages but enjoyed by all.
The Spring Festival includes activities such as the Egg Hunt, Fun Inflatables, Face Painting, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, and age appropriate games. The date for our Spring Festival changes from year to year depending on the date of Easter. So check in with us after the first of the year to learn the details.
The Fall Festival is our safe alternative to Halloween on October 31st each year. Just like our Spring Festival, you'll find hours of fun for your children including Face Painting, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Fun Inflatables, age appropriate games, and for the adults, plenty of chairs and a Chili Cook Off.
Taste of Hackberry
MBBC is a proud sponsor of Taste of Hackberry. This annual event for the homeowners of Hackberry Creek brings together dozens of local restaurants and community services for an afternoon of food, fun and entertainment.
